ProAct

Reacting to the Automotive Industry's situation during the economic downturn, WAF was instrumental in lobbying government to introduce a scheme that protected those companies so that they were able to continue post-recession.  The result was ProAct,  which offered financial support for their employees on short time working as well as participating in fully funded up skilling programmes during those lay off days.


Skills Growth Wales

Following on from ProAct, Skills Growth Wales is a training scheme designed to help companies who are in a position of growth.  Support will be given for the cost of the training where the company can demonstrate that the funding will enable development over and above what is currently planned, where growth will be greater and faster.
